They plan to visit Beijing and Xi’an from October 18 to 23. This trip represents the ninth such delegation from Kansai since 1971, underscoring a long history of engagement between the regions.

Previously, the Japan-China Economic Association, which includes prominent Japanese corporate executives and heads of major business lobbies such as the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren), postponed a scheduled visit to China in January. This upcoming visit by the Kansai delegation is seen as a step towards revitalizing economic dialogue and collaboration between Japan and China.
