Based in Hong Kong for the past 12 years, David Crane has become something of an expert when it comes to property investment in one of Asia’s most dynamic economic markets. In recent years, he has focused particularly on the emerging Clear Water Bay luxury residential market, an area he now calls home.
Crane, a British national, acquired his skills back in the UK, working for his family-run property development company before striking out to ply his trade in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and finally Hong Kong. Noticing a gap in the island’s property investment market, Crane, alongside IP Global CEO Tim Murphy, launched the Clear Water Bay-based IP Homes in 2009 to cater to the growing requirements of refined luxury buyers. Property Report recently caught up with Crane to discuss Hong Kong’s emerging luxury locations, IP Homes’ portfolio and what is in store for the Pearl of the Orient’s high-end market in the coming years.
