Iran’s Foreign Minister Goes to Japan Tasnim27 Aug 2019, 18:36 GMT+10 TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif flew to Japan after a visit to Beijing, where he held intensive talks with his Chinese counterpart on a broad range of issues. – Politics news – The top Iranian diplomat and his delegation are visiting Tokyo on the second leg of an Asian tour.In two rounds of meetings on Monday, Zarif and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi discussed various issues related to bilateral relations between Iran and China, the latest developments in the implementation of the JCPOA as well as the Iranian and French presidents’ initiatives, the roadmap for Iran-China ties in the next 25 years, the security of the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz, and the illegal and unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States on independent countries.The Iranian foreign minister is planned to pay a visit to Malaysia after Japan.Zarif has made several foreign trips in recent weeks, after being blacklisted by the US government.Before the tour of Asia, the Iranian top diplomat visited Kuwait, three Scandinavian capitals, and France.
